Forest Lake School works together to empower its tamariki (children) to be the best that they can and to Rise to the Challenge (Kawe Akete Mānuka). It is a Whānau (family) school with second-generation tamariki returning to be educated here. The wairua (spirit) of the school is warm and welcoming to all. Students can be educated through Total Immersion Māori (Rumaki) or English Medium (Auraki). Tikanga ā Iwi (Māori customary practice) is practiced and interwoven throughout the kura (school).
