The Thames-Coromandel District is located in the north-eastern part of the Waikato region of New Zealand and is renowned for its natural beauty, rural farmland, misty rainforests and pristine golden beaches.

Infrastructure

New water treatment plants have been completed in Coromandel Town, Tairua, Pauanui, and Whitianga. Almost $20 million from the Provincial Growth Fund is set to go towards an expansion of the Sugarloaf Wharf in the Coromandel Harbour.
